Ryan Cartier implements a business strategy rooted in obsessive customer focus, defining value from the end users perspective.
Recognizing it as a growth strategy, Ryan has immersed himself in over 10 years of Lean implementation (also known as Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence) which includes leading 3 corporate wide deployments.
Ryan is also one of very few Canadians - and hoping this changes - practicing Lean Product & Process Development (in ‘hybrid’ design environments) a completely different application to ‘factory’ lean generating competitive advantage.
Business Ramp-ups, Turnarounds & Startups
Initially interested in business, Ryan worked in Sales and 3 startups before heading to shop floors to learn Lean.
Within a year he was asked to lead a company’s Lean implementation, and after a few years was moved to facilitate his first of several company wide Lean deployments.

Currently pushing to have InternalBrace ACL repair available to Albertans & Canadians through the public health care system to prevent unnecessary body part removal when eligible, and have physicians fully inform patients all their options.
